Pat and the project.
Pat Cooper, a member of the group
I am a friend of Tina's, and Chair of a local Community Group that looks after a Community Park in Lower Gillingham in Medway. The Park is called Hillyfields Community Park and the group of people are the Friends of Hillyfields. We have recently gained the coveted Green Flag Award for our Park, so the Environment part of this project is well met by our involvement.
I wanted to be fully involved with this project from the beginning, and I have done as much as I can, but family bereavement, and other circumstances have precluded me from doing all that the project entails, but I have got a real insight into what the prospective outcomes are expected to be, and I have met up with other people who have got health and social problems that are not fully being met by statutory providers.
Meeting with these folk and getting them to tell their stories has been an eye opener of just what is out there (or not), and I know that I have found the aspects of being with them, and going to the various creative art workshops, (art is not my best thing as I cannot draw for toffee) but specifically to London with one of our number escorting him in his wheelchair on trains and taxis for our healing day, was something I would not have missed.
Healing:
Speaking of healing. I had this done to me in July at the College of Psychic Studies, and I have never experienced anything quite like it. I laid on the couch and three ladies asked me questions about my medical problems if I had any, (luckily I am in good health) but I still had the healing, and I really had what can only be described as an electric shock pass right through me. So much so, that I felt somewhat strange after this session, and had actually to be helped from the couch. It was amazing. I relayed this information to Tina and the rest of the group afterwards. I described it as 'a Damascus moment' in a subsequent workshop.
Photography:
Unfortunately I missed the Auracam part of the project, but I can see what this is for. I did however have my photo taken with a pinhole camera, which was very strange, very Victorian in apperance.
I really think that we have gelled as a group, and a greater understanding of what other people have had to go through. We will keep in contact, and especially now that the website once fully operational, will play an important part in in this endeavour because it will reach a much much wider audience and can be regularlhy updated and used as a professional, and social to this end.

Next Meeting(s)
Our next meeting is on Friday 5 February 2010 at Sunlight from 1-3 pm in Honeybees room.
Workshop 7:
Saturday 29 August 2009, from 10.30 am in Honeybees room, Sunlight Centre Gillingham.
(VIEW MAP)
This session will involve photography of the aura, the energy field
around the body. By placing your hand on a sensor, the colours of your
aura will show on a projection on the wall. Each participant will have
an individual sitting with Jonathon Hope, a member of the group.
Each person will receive a print out with visual and factual
information. Please note that this photography is not diagnostic; we are
working with the group merely to show colours, differences and
imbalances. This session is heavily in demand; please email Tina Lawlor
