The Tree of Life
Themomentisnow! Update January 2010 A group of people affected by long term illness and various medical conditions, have been meeting to work creatively with their illnesses at Sunlight since April 2009. Their work tells stories of health, ill-health, diagnosis and acceptance and sharing moments of deep, meditational silence and healing. Funded by Awards for All, this project has grown from strength to strength, supported by Sunlight.This book, written by Tina Lawlor Mottram, describes the experiences of the group and also details wide research into the area of health, healing, meditation and scientific research around the areas of health and illness. During the course of the project, the group have created visual art and creative writing; they have had aura and pinhole photography, they have tried meditation and spiritual and Reiki healing, and also made a visit to the group healing clinic at the College of Psychic Studies in London. www.collegeofpsychicstudies.co.uk. ‘The Tree of Life; a creative response to long term illness’ will be published in March 2009, by Themomentisnow! The group will display their artwork, created for the project, and you can hear some of the group read their creative writing at Chatham Library on Saturday 27 March 2010. Themomentisnow! is a group of local artists, writers, healers and people interested in health, and a healthy and greener environment for all.
